STRONG friend, Happy Hump Day! Happy December! Where the heck does the time go?! Can you believe it's the last month of the year. I'm ready for the New Year, you?
I hope this email finds you well, !
Poppin in with a wrap-up and some shares from November, in case you missed them.
These red flags are things that hold MOST women back. Most women are doing things that are NOT optimal to build or retain muscle, like training too often, always in diet mode intentionally or unintentionally, not taking any days off, always doing more and more, to name a few.
More is not better. Better is better. I used to do more and more; it wasn't until I got straight with myself about the amount of exercise I was doing weekly that I started to see serious progress.
A lot of women do too much and the wrong type of too much exercise, especially if they are trying to gain muscle and get STRONG. Again, I was one of them, women. So no shade, STRONG friend! When I knew better I did better. Back in my day, I wish had a coach like me to guide me the BETTER WAY!
It wasn't serving me and definitely didn't contribute to the amount of gainzz I could have had! It was just serving my over-exercised ego - orthorexia self, lol that's a mouth full. That ultimately left me unrecovered, feeling run down, hungry, to name a few symptoms that I chose to ignore for a long time.
Here are a few-
- Being able to enjoy foods that you love without guilt or shame.
- Ditched the all-or-nothing mentality, doing the best with what's available.
- Eating bread when you want it.
Three, it's the time of year where you will see a megaton of ads for quick fixes of all flavors, persuasions, and
varieties.
This is one of them that I hyperlinked👆🏾! I also get asked about them on the regular!
Don't be duped, STRONG Friend.
Quick fixes don't last & they tend to have consequences. And you don't need any cleanses or detoxes. If your liver, kidneys, etc., that do a great job for us, aren't working, then you need a doctor, not a charlatan selling BS,
preying on your insecurities!
Here's a detox for you!
Pull-ups are one of the many exercises that women tell me they want to achieve!! I am all for it, STRONG friend. However, you must train it consistently.
Yes, A LOT. Pull-ups/Chin-ups are a SKILL. You must hone that skill!
So, if you have aspirations to get your first one or get out of a sticking point, practice, practice, train your pulling strength.
Last but not least, this is the first day of the month...
A new STRONGER Way Strength Training program was released today - New Month, New Gainz. You can still join.
You may have missed that amazing CYBER Monday deal, but you can hop right on in today. Start your first lift tomorrow.
This month's training focus is the Deadlift (hamstrings) + Pull-up (Back)! So, if you have Pull-up goals, this is the month to pop in; last month was as well. But there is no time like the present.
That's that STRONG friend! Thanks for reading. Have a great rest of the week.
In Strength & to Your Success,
Xo
