Happy February, STRONG friend! Happy Friday too! I hope this email finds you well.

How was your January ? 

One word that describes the first month of the year for you? Hit reply and let me know.

For me, it was one for the books. So my word would be Wild! The RV life always brings some type of adventure! Lol, it was a wild ride. Big Juicy (our semi) broke down twice-ish.

First, the rear differential went out on the way to get routine maintenance on our home on wheels - an alignment. The super cool thing is that we broke down across the street from a Big Rig Repair shop. 🙌🏾 

That was a blessing. Jeff was able to drive it across the street without causing any other issues.

We couldn’t get a tow truck until the following day to tow the RV to the alignment shop, so we missed our alignment appointment. They were able to reschedule us, though, so that was good!

Getting our home on wheels towed! 

The second time, Big Juicy’s fuel jelled in the filters! We were in Indiana at the time, and they had a few freezing temps. 

So, that’s what did it, the good ole cold north! It was bitter cold. Got that all fixed up and finally hit the road to Arizona.

And the last final wild ride of the month, 2 of our slides froze! We stopped in OK to get them fixed with a trusted DRV dealer. 

Oh, the RV life! It’s not always unicorns, sunshine, and rainbows.

The whole month wasn’t a bust altogether. It was a mixture of good and some ugly.

The good... family time, signed a few new clients, friend time, spent some time in some 70-degree weather for a couple of weeks, which was glorious,  and we made it to Utah without any more breakdowns or RV issues. 💃🏾

Whelp, let’s slide into a little recap of the MVP Posts of the month!

1) A love note on what it actually takes to look “toned!”

Muscle 💪🏾 makes you look toned. Muscle mass does not grow out of thin air!

2) As a Strength + Nutrition Coach, I’ll help you undo the years of yo-yo dieting and the diet mentality. We don’t do meal plans because that teaches you nothing.

They don’t teach you how to navigate your own nutrition.⁣ They don’t teach you how to fish! 

Ima teach you how to fish, how to eat in a way that is sustainable and not restrictive, and help you learn how to eat well without depriving yourself of foods that you love!

This quote sums it up well when it comes:

“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.”

3) A love note about how to increase your veggie intake! 

STRONG friend, you don’t have to eat bland foods! 

Put some flavor, seasonings, and things up on them veggies!

4) The Basics of Strength Training!

They will never go out of style! Train them often and consistently.

These movement patterns will never go out of style and they should always be the foundation of your training program!⁣
