STRONG friend, Happy Thursday!!
Let’s get real:
Motivation is unreliable. Motivation is a feeling. Motivation is temporary. It ebbs and it flows.
When motivation is motivating, use it; but when it's not, you still gotta take ACTION!
It's not a character flaw; it's called being human. It shows up
when things feel easy. But when it doesn't? That's where discipline and habits take over.
At first, you’re fired up - a new program, a new coach, or a new goal. But then life happens. Work’s wild, you miss a few workouts, and suddenly your lifting shoes are collecting dust.
Sound familiar?
And honestly? You can’t rely on it to carry you through every tough day.
That’s where habits come into play. Motivation comes and
goes, but habits are the foundation.
That’s why I always say: build & strengthen your habits! They will have your back!
Zig Ziglar said it best: "People often say motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing, that's why we recommend it daily." 😝
Here’s the truth: Motivation is like a muscle; if you don’t train it, it’ll stay
weak.
Because when motivation dips (and it will), habits step up!
They’re the “I do this even when I don’t feel like it” backbone of your goals.
💥 Create small, repeatable habits that build upon each other and that stack wins.
💥 Know your why: the real one, not the “I should” one.
💥 Build a plan that’s flexible but grounded.
And please, for the love of all things STRONG, stop
“shoulding” on yourself.
“I should” is the quickest way to burnout. "I choose to” is where transformation happens.
How many times have you forced yourself into workouts, an unsustainable diet, or routines just because you thought you should? Then quit a few weeks later because none of it felt aligned with what YOU actually wanted?
None of it was
sustainable!!
Same. We’ve all been there.
But that’s not where change lasts.
Real results happen when you trade external pressure with internal strength.
So next time you feel your motivation slipping, avoid catastrophizing.
Simply ask:
➡️ “What’s one small thing I want to do today?”
➡️ “What habit moves
me closer to my goals even on an off day?”
➡️ “What would my strongest self choose right now?”
Keep stacking those answers. Keep stacking your habits!
That’s how we build momentum. That’s how we make this a lifestyle.
That’s how you stop starting over.
Let this be your reminder: You don’t need to be motivated. You just need to keep showing up, even
imperfectly!!
Let’s build the kind of consistency that doesn’t depend on the right time, shoulds, or a perfect mood. You’ve got this, STRONG friend.
In Strength & To Your Success,
Love you, mean it!
