Happy New Year’s Eve !
It’s that time of year again!
The social feeds are already on one, shouting it from the rooftops! Detoxes. 30-day challenges. Extreme resets. Promises that this time will be different if you just do more, restrict harder, or suffer longer.
Pause right here, STRONG friend.
If you
feel the urge to do something, that makes sense. A new year brings reflection. Motivation. A desire to reset.
But let’s choose something that actually works. Something that does not leave you burnt out by week two of January. Something that carries you past January and into the rest of the year.
Every year, I see the same pattern.
- Slash calories.
- Cut out all the foods you enjoy.
- Train seven days a week.
- Go from
barely moving to ten thousand steps a day.
- Add cardio on top of everything.
It looks productive. It feels intense. And it rarely lasts.
If you want real progress, the kind that does not require starting over again in 2027, the answer is simple. There is a better way!
Change one thing!!
One habit. One behavior. One basic that you can repeat without white-knuckling your way through
it.
Here are a few solid places to start. Pick the one that actually applies to you:
- Not getting enough protein. Start there. Track your protein only no other macros. Just build awareness and consistency.
- Low fiber intake. Add more fruits, vegetables, and whole foods.
- Barely drinking water. Add one extra cup or refill your bottle once more each day.
- Under-eating overall. Eat more food. Real food.
- Bedtime is chaotic.
Build a simple wind-down routine.
- Too much junk food. Start cutting back instead of cutting everything out.
- Very low daily steps. Look at your average and increase slowly over time.
- Build balanced plates. Protein first. Then carbs (starch + fiber). Then fats.
That’s it, STRONG friend!
❌ No extreme calorie cuts.
❌ No diets with fancy names.
❌ No banning food groups.
❌ No sugar fear.
❌ No doing the
most.
The basics work. They always have.
- Eat mostly nutrient-dense foods.
- Eat enough protein and fiber.
- Build balanced plates.
- Move your body consistently.
- Sleep like it matters. Because it does.
- Want to shed body fat? Understand your current intake first and then make a smart adjustment to start losing body fat.
Simple. Sane. Sustainable.
You do not need to suffer
to get healthy. You do not need to earn your food. You do not need to punish your body to see change.
Keep it simple, STRONG friend. That is how this sticks.
I’d love to help you do this the right way in 2026. If you’re ready to stop starting over and start building something that lasts, let’s work together!
