Hey ! Happy Friday!
Let’s talk about something that doesn’t get talked about enough in fitness.
Mindset! Sis, from the inside out!
If you’ve ever felt stuck, frustrated, or like you’re doing “all the right things” with little to show for it, you’re not broken. Most women I coach have been there. I’ve been there
too.
Here’s the tea, STRONG friend...
Sustainable fitness success isn’t just about what you do in the gym or the kitchen. It starts with how you think! Your mindset is everything!
Here are three mindset shifts that actually change how this plays out long term.
1 - Progress over perfection
Stop waiting for the perfect week. It doesn’t exist!
Progress is built by
showing up when life is busy, messy, and imperfect. Early nights. Walks you almost skipped. Meals you mostly nailed.
Those count. They add up.
2 - Consistency beats intensity
Going hard for a week and burning out isn’t discipline. Steady effort is. Three to five short workouts you can repeat will always beat one all-out session you can’t sustain. Consistency is not boring. It’s effective and it's
sustainable!
3 - Missing doesn’t mean failing
Missing a workout, enjoying a cupcake at a birthday party, not hitting your step goal for a couple of days or a week that didn’t go as planned. None of that erases your progress!!! Don't catastrophize it!
The only real failure is quitting. Everything else is information. Adjust and keep moving.
How to use this right
now…
Pick one or two habits. Not eleventy billion! One to two changes at time!
For example:
- Protein at your main meals.
- A walk after dinner.
- Earlier bedtime.
- 3-5 servings of fruit and veggies
Track your wins. Even the small ones. And give yourself some grace. Progress is never linear! <--- Read that again!
Why this
matters...
Motivation is fickle. Mindset is what keeps you in the game long after the honeymoon stage fades. When you stop chasing perfection and start practicing consistency, your results change. Not overnight. But for good!
The basics done well. With patience. With intention. That’s how you build your fitness, achieve your body goals, and live your life you’re proud of one rep, one meal, one day at a time.
