Travel, Nutrition, and Physique - Nutrition for Traveling!

Happy Friday! I hope you’ve had a fantastic week. This is week has been a great week for me. Last weekend, I finished up with the #WalkWithCandi Challenge and it was a huge success. :)
I am so thankful for all the ladies taking part in my first challenge. Stay tuned, because there will be more to come.


My upcoming travel has got me thinking about diet, nutrition, and exercise around traveling. Specifically, around nutrition and traveling –how to navigate your nutrition and not derail your physique. This month and next, I’ll be on the road from Michigan back to Texas and then to Alaska. Wooo, my head is spinning thinking about the traveling but it will be a good time.  While I’m traveling, I’ll be sharing some of my tips on eating when you’re away from home. #TravelWithCandi

Check out my blog for the first installment on eating while traveling. I’m a firm believer that if you can’t function away from home, you really don’t have a sound nutritional plan.  We can’t depend on our home kitchen for all our meals – it’s not realistic.  When we’re away from home, there are healthy choices that you can make, you just have to know how to make them.  Along with the healthy choices, there are times when you just do the best you can and eat what’s available. Plus, you should definitely enjoy some treats along the way – we are human and food is supposed to be enjoyed as well, not analyzed to the fifth degree.

 

I am firm believer in flexible eating, meaning no food is off limits. All foods can be eaten in moderation as part of healthy lifestyle. Food is food - it should never be deemed good nor bad.  Always remember that and you can build a better relationship around food.
