Now, on to why you shouldn't wait to January 1st......
Keep the way you eat as normal as possible and still enjoy some of the yummy meals throughout
the holidays, but don’t a vacation from your healthy lifestyle. Same goes for physical activity. The holiday season just begs for all the benefits of exercise, yet that’s one of the first things thrown out the window while we manage the busy holiday season. It doesn’t have to be that way – there’s a better way.
Part of maintaining your
weight or your fitness is being able to do so anytime, anywhere without adding undo stress to your life. Fitness should always add to and enhance your lifestyle, not hinder it.
I used to go thru the annual seasonal struggle, just like everyone. I would have been crushing my goals during the summer, cruising thru the fall season,
and then….Well, Halloween and buckets of candy. Yep, that insidious pile of candy was the start of my annual downfall. A piece here, a piece there…nothing earth shattering, just the start.
The real winter transformation would start around Thanksgiving. You see, I was on the all or nothing train. You know the one –
either I was on plan, or I wasn’t. And when I wasn’t – well, I wasn’t on plan, so I ate all the food. I’d tell myself “It’s just one day, it won’t hurt”. Then one day would turn into two, three….then I’d just throw in the towel till Monday! Cause we all know, every lifestyle change starts on Monday!
So that would be Thanksgiving. Then there would be Holiday Parties – one for me, one for my husband. They netted the same chain of events…I was off plan, and I was really off plan! It would stretch out for days. Add some family gatherings in, Christmas, and New Years, and I would be off plan for over a month! Can you
believe that mindset? And not only was I off plan nutritionally, often times I threw in the towel on exercise as well – who’s got time for that during the holidays?
When I had an on and off plan mentality, it was really all or nothing. There was no grey area! So, in off plan mode I ate all the food, cause eventually I was going to be back on plan. And when I was on plan, there were lists of food I couldn’t have. So, eat them all before being back on plan. I know I’m not the only one who’s killed that last meal before the Monday plan!
Let me
tell you, there’s a better way of life out there. One that doesn’t involve on and off plan, extreme dietary swings, and hours of gym time. There doesn’t have to be a winter and summer wardrobe, and you don’t have to be one of the mass of people finding the nearest gym on January 1, starting in on your New Year’s resolution!
I know the struggle, and I’ve learned to overcome it. It’s not that hard, and the peace of mind is totally worth the little bit of effort that goes into it. Can you imagine the freedom not having an all or nothing mentality will give you?
I’ve developed my
Maintain, Don’t Gain coaching, nutrition, and workout plan for the holiday to make sure you succeed and thrive during this holiday season. No all or nothing mindset, no marathon training sessions in the gym cause you ate too much last night, and no obsessing over the food at every holiday gathering!
With Maintain, Don’t Gain, you’ll have all
the tools needed to keep your fitness going during the Holidays. Not only that, you’ll know how to deal with that extra food, and even have a drink or two with no stress! That’s the best part – You will be part of my private Facebook group with direct access to me for coaching and

That’s right – I’ve created a community for you and other like-minded women, where I will be providing coaching, tips, and advice for the holidays. Not only will I be there, but there will be other women who are going through the same holiday stress you are, and you’ll be able to draw on each other’s experiences
to thrive during this busy holiday season!
This six-week coaching plan will have you coasting into the New Year with your fitness intact. No need to break out the stretch pants or stress over eating and exercise. No on/off switch or black and white thinking. You’ll navigate all the Holiday parties in style, and you won’t be spending hours in the gym to overcome any
overindulgence!
