Workout Wednesday: How did you get your legs like that?

Published: Wed, 02/22/17

Hi

Happy Humpday, I hope your day has gone well. The temperatures are warming all across the U.S. At least what I can see from everyone's Facebook page. The anticipation of the Spring and Summer is on the horizon - so excited about it!

I wanted to share a quickie workout with you today. I already shared it over on my Facebook page, but just in case you missed it. I wanted to make sure I personally shared it with you. I know, often people don't get to see everything on Facebook because of the algorithms.

But first a little back story to the reason I put this workout together for today....

The other day, after getting my eyebrows and face threaded my esthetician asked me how I got me legs so firm. Have you ever had your eyebrows or your face threaded? It was very ouchie the first few times - at least some parts of my face. It has gotten easier over time, and now I love it. Let me know if you have tried it!

Anywho back to the legs part. She complimented me, and of course, I said Thank you. Then I gave her the Lift the Things speech 💪🏾. And the importance of Strength Training for women, well anyone really. It's simple, really - not easy of course, I said simple. I told her to start strength training - either use her body weight for resistance or train with dumbbells and barbells. I'll see if she started when I go back in a few weeks.

So the Workout of the day:

Grab your paper plates, Valslides, or a washcloth and let's work that lower body! Your glorious glutes, hamstrings, and your quads! 🍑💪🏾

** Complete 5 rounds
** Rest as needed - preferably at the end of the circuit
** Add dumbbells for more of a challenge
** I assure you though the sliders are no joke. I am still feeling my hammies from the hamstring curls.

1. Sliding Reverse Lunge (l&r) x 10 reps per side
2. Sliding Lateral Lunge (l&r) x 10 reps per side
3. Sliding Hamstring Curls x 10 - 20 reps
4. Sliding Slow Mountain Climbers x 20 rep

Any questions about the workout or if you just want to let me know how the workout went - hit reply to this email. Or-  Shoot me an email or head over to this workout post on Facebook and let me know.

I hope you have a wonderful evening!

Yours in Health and Strength,

Xo
