1 workout, 1 meal away from being right back in your Power – Go get em Girl! - All is not lost

Published: Fri, 04/21/17

Good morning ,

Even if it's more than one. I missed a whole week because I chose too. Again, all is not lost!

All is not lost unless you make the choice to say eff it!
Fitness and Nutrition should enhance your life.

I hit the gym after 9 days of moving and what not. We hit the road for our year long road trip Thursday, April 13th. My last workout was Friday the 7th, and it wasn’t even a good one – oh well, I’ve had plenty of good ones. I had a million things on my mind, and it was that time of the month too.

I just moved on and said oh well girl - next time. Good training sessions ebb and flow, and that all is not lost, just like anything in life.

All my time was spent on packing, selling our household goods, donating stuff, and moving into the RV. I thought about squeezing a workout in, but it just wasn’t in the books. I did have a moment where I was whoa is me about training. Like, ugh, it’s been a whole week!

But you know what? The dumbbells, the barbells, and the gym will be there when things calm down.

I was pretty active though, throughout the whole RV ordeal. We moved, we packed, and lifted all the boxes and weights over several days. My husband and I did squeeze some bike rides in.

At the end of the day, we were both whooped. Thinking back, I am super grateful for my strength and my stamina during the moving process.

So, instead of hitting the iron, we hit a different type of weights.

And….
For self-care, sleep was the priority.

I tell women all the time get your sleep in order as well as other things, but most importantly sleep affects so many processes. Lack of sleep can affect hunger, energy, and cravings.

If you are not sleeping well, do you think you will have great workout session? Nope.

There was a time where I wouldn’t miss a workout, no matter what, and if you have been following me for a while now, you probably heard me talk about how obsessive I was about working out.

I came to grips awhile back now. It was hindering my life, not enhancing it.

So, there will come a time where you just can’t get it in, or you're going through a change - remember that the Iron, the sweat, or whatever you do will still be there.

Do the best you can with the time or modality that you have.

I crushed my workout Sunday and Monday. Sunday was a bit rushed but good, and Monday was awesome.

The track, as everyone seems to call it, isn't a straight and narrow, it's not one of perfection. If you fall off the proverbial track, just get back on at that very next meal or next workout. All is not lost.

I will say this - if you have truly incorporated fitness as part of your lifestyle, then you will have no problem getting back to your normal routine or getting back on track with no issues.

If you can't get back on track, then it's not enhancing your lifestyle! It's a hindrance.

With all that said, you will not die from missing a workout nor will all your muscles atrophy - shrink or vanish into thin air!

And that's all I have to say about that!

Thank you for reading, have a wonderful weekend!
