Wanted to share a quick story with you.

Not too long ago,one of my clients came to me with the all or nothing mindset, low, low calories, and killing herself 6 -7 days a week in the gym. Quite frankly, she was miserable, hungry, and just down right tired - no energy to do anything.

I asked her if she trusted me and wanted to try it my way? Do fitness and nutrition in a way that enhances your life, and not hinders it.

She said yes, because she wasn't getting anywhere with what she had been doing.

In a nutshell, we cut her training back to 3-4 days a week, and that was it. Leisure walking was fine (I encourage it all the time), and the icing on the cake was to quit actively dieting all dang year around. That's another email for another time.

You guessed it - we went to shorter workouts, ones that were strength based and with some conditioning (cardio) sprinkled in. One session, not two a days, and not 7 days a week. Wooo, that's exhausting just thinking about that, huh?!

Guess what? She started to love how she moved. Her confidence came back, she felt better, not beat down all the time.

The by-product of this was that her clothes started to fit better, and she was getting stronger.

The moral here after all is said and done, is that you should Work Smarter not Harder. Harder gets you a world of a headache and burn out, and most importantly, it's not sustainable. Sure, it's fun at first, and some may think it's hardcore, but will you be able to keep it up?

Shorter workouts are the beez neez, perfect for a change of pace, and you can knock 2 birds out with one stone. Cut your time down and still get results! A win-win!
