Less is more; more is not better. Better is better!

Hi

You remember the client I wrote about the other day? She went from 6-7 days of working out to 3-4 days of working out? You can refer to that email here

She still got great results. She got her time back, and her sanity back.

We have lives right?! Things to do, children to take care of, social lives, etc... We really don't have to spend hours upon hours in the gym - as a matter of fact, you don't even need a gym membership, unless you want one.

Think about it for a sec, if you’re spending hours in the gym, has it been optimal, or are you just going through the motions?

It really is possible to get and stay fit with less training and without a gym membership.

We women, or even men, believe that more is better - if five days a week is good, six must be even better. I'll use myself as an example.

I used to be like the client above; we will call her Sharon. Training 6 or 7 days a week, always trying to find a way to.... you guessed it - burn calories.

More is worse, more runs you down, and more detracts from your life.

This couldn't be further from the truth. In actuality, I was making things worse. I wasn't treating my body right. I wasn't creating a good environment (hormonally) for my body to drop fat or be healthy. Extreme exercising or over exercising with low calories affects our hormones in negative way.

Hormonally? Yes, it's not just calories in and calories out! It’s part of the equation but not the whole story.

Just a lil science for you.

Hormones play a huge part in our health, body change - changing our body composition, and even weight gain.

Ever felt that you were doing all the right things but still weren’t losing?

Well, hormones are one the issues.

Not to get to sciency, but I'll touch on two hormones - Ghrelin and Leptin.

These two hormones that affect our hunger.

In short Ghrelin - signals when it is time to eat, specifically our brains. Ghrelin keeps us in check when we are trying to diet by increasing our hunger, by making it harder to lose.

Ghrelin will protect you from starvation, so when you diet on low calories and increase exercise, well you know the rest. Hunger increases and you can't stop thinking about food; also Leptin (fullness hormone) goes down. Can't seem to get full, and you feel hungry all the time.

Keep that up, and your metabolism slows and makes it harder for you to lose fat/weight, keep it off – you will actually gain it back, plus some.

This is one of the reasons that MORE is not Better.

So, Candace, why are talking to me about fat loss? Because you can't talk about fitness and not talk about the elephant in the room - nutrition/your diet (the way you eat to elicit fat loss - change your body composition).

Because I know you are probably wondering if you can lose fat/weight with this program.

While this is not a fat loss program, you can lose fat if coupled with right nutrition plan (mild deficit) and with strength training (Summer Slam Down Strength Training circuits).

So, yes with a calorie deficit (not another starvation diet) - nutrition first is the driving force of fat loss, and strength training is the icing on the cake. Maintaining your muscle, possibly even building it during a deficit is crucial for your body and your metabolism.

I'll end with this! Muscle = Metabolism, plus so much more.

It's not too late to still get Summer Slam Down! #SummerSlamDown is available until Sunday July 23 at midnight EST. It won't be back for this price for a good while.

I know you are on the fence about this Program, so if you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

I know this is a solution for you!
