Good morning , 

How many times are you gonna say you can't do something, or that you don't have the time?

- What are your priorities?
- What do you have time for?
- And what really matters to you?

This is the time! There is no time like the present. Tomorrow isn't promised. Don't put off what you can do today for tomorrow. Tomorrow might not come. Cliche as it may sound, it’s so true.

Think about a time when you said, aww man, I should have done that, or why didn’t I do that yesterday. It happens all the time.

What’s that saying – “Never put off for tomorrow what can be done today”. Procrastination doesn’t get us anywhere. I’m glad I didn’t procrastinate yesterday with my workout. I got a 20-minute workout in before hitting the road. I almost decided to wait, thinking I could get it in later. Later never came, because we didn’t stop driving until 10 pm PST.

We have time for everything else but the thing that we really say we want. We say we aren’t motivated enough to do XYZ, which in this is case working out. It’s not “I’m not motivated”, it’s really just not a priority. Just be honest with yourself. A little tough love.


Motivation is fickle and fleeting; we will not always feel motivated. That's human and you’re human, right?! It ebbs and flows. You can't always depend on it, but you can depend on your habits, taking some action, and putting one foot in front of the other.

Those small steps count too!

Motivation is like a muscle. It must be exercised, just like lifting the things - be consistent and you will see a difference, as my client has:

In the short 4 weeks, I have been working with her I have lost many inches and become much stronger! Her Summer Slam Down workouts are a great tool to use on the days where I train by myself. They are very easy to follow and include video tutorials on how to perform each exercise if you are unfamiliar with the moves.

Motivation comes and it goes. What are you going do when it’s gone, just give up, and stop? When motivation isn’t there, discipline and habits will have your back!

You don’t need the motivation to get started. I might argue that you don’t need motivation at all. Working on a habit is what will get you started, taking that first step - taking action. The saying though, is Motivation will get you started, and habits will keep you going, or something like that. Let's flip the script - Habits will get you started and keep you going.

Why Habits? Because habits are what stick. Habits are things that we do effortlessly, like getting protein with every meal, aiming to lift 2-3 times a week, or whatever habit you want to create.

Motivation is not the secret to success. You can’t sit around for it to come, because it might never come. What you can depend on is doing something. It always comes back to something is always better than nothing. It doesn’t have to be perfect - just take ACTION!

How about accountability instead of motivation, or how about support? Imagine having someone in your corner at the jump start of your journey; It’s more likely that you will be successful.

It's Time today! How are you gonna use your time?! It's not infinite.
