Consistency in your workouts doesn't mean you have to workout every single day.
Consistency doesn’t mean you have to be perfect with your workouts.
Consistency is the key to progress.
Consistency is dedicating yourself to something that is important to you- but starting right where you are.
If you are consistent, you will see
success.
The more consistent we are, the more that it will become lifestyle habit.
Consistency is developed overtime, it’s a practice.
For you, consistency could be two strength training circuits a week on Monday's and Fridays. Don’t go from A to Z, if that’s not maintainable. Go from A to B, and then to C. So forth and so on!
Consistency requires Commitment - keeping your word to yourself over the long term & following through with what you set out to do until it's effortless. Again, it’s a
practice.
That's how you become successful with your health and fitness. It's a small sum of things that add up to the big things.
I've been talking about this in various ways to develop consistency throughout the several emails that I have sent you.
I know this isn't sexy, and you probably want results now, but consistency is what wins every time.
Here’s what you get with Consistency, to name just a few:
- Better sleep quality. If you
exercise, you’re sleep will get better.
- The quickest way to sleep better is to get active. The body wants to rest and recover!
- Strength- my favorite – lift the things. Strength
to pick up your kids, move furniture, pick up box or even vacuum without blowing your back out. A stronger core, and even fit your wedding rings after 10 years - per one of my beta testers! Plus so much more!
- Stress
relief- Hard day at work, kids driving you nuts, quick Summer Slam Down workouts will be right up your alley! The endorphins released from working out is one of the best things you can give yourself. When we are less stressed we can give so much more.
It’s the missing piece to the equation for most folks – maintainable
Consistency. Starting and stopping makes the journey just that much longer - ADJUST. Going to hard, trying to commit to 6 days a week – I love the enthusiasm, don’t get me wrong, but will 6 days a week help you be consistent? Maybe, maybe not. Don’t go from zero to 100.
If not, I betcha 3 days would?! Or start with what’s sustainable for you. You can add a
day as you master what you started out with.
Consistency > Perfection
Perfection usually gets you nothing, because it’s hard to be perfect- and no one is perfect, but Consistency is something.
Imagine your life 3 months from now? Really picture how you would like feel, how you want to look.
A lot can happen in 90 days. I see it often with my clients that commit and get consistent with the intentions that they set.
Are you ready to get consistent? Because time won’t wait. We aren't getting any time back that's for sure.
Give yourself the Gift of Consistency!
