Nothing necessarily wrong with the habit, but I was starting to get unproductive. However, I am super grateful for the ability to stay in PJs and work from home. I think it was starting to feel like I wasn't working, I was, but not getting much done.
I needed a new Habit Hack, I'll call it!
We
change or get better at things by creating a new habit, or refining the habit - taking action and changing the story, one day at a time. I really don’t rely on Motivation because it’s fickle. If I waited for Motivation show up, I would never change or work on my habit of preparing as if I am going to work.
My productivity habit hack has been in full swing for the last several weeks. I’ve been exercising it, putting in the reps.
I'm not perfect with it, because some days I do want to stay in my PJ's and work and do, but not most of the time.
Who is perfect anyways? You know what is the opposite of Perfection is? It's Consistency, and that's what keeps you winning and crushing like a lady boss.
Consistency is not perfection - it means you show up or do something more often than
not.
Almost every morning since, I’ve made the switch of getting ready for the day, instead of later in the day. Even if it’s just washing my face, brushing my teeth, putting on my work uniform I like to call it; I’m up and at em.
I feel more productive and creative than ever, and it’s sticking because of Consistency.
I can relate this to my upcoming Consistency challenge. Essentially, being consistent and creating the habit of keeping your fitness going will make it stick, even when life gets busy.
Even when you think you can’t possibly get a workout in because life is encroaching in on your training time.
Remember consistency is doing something more often than not,
it makes it easier for you to keep it moving when life gets busy. See, you have established your habit by doing it.
The most significant caveat is still feeling strong, fit, and healthy throughout the season. Therefore, coming out on Jan. 1st with the gift of consistency and your waistline intact.
If we stay consistent with fitness, it becomes a Habit. A habit that
feels effortless and not forced. It may seem that way at first. But, it’s super dependent on several factors about how you view or how you are doing fitness.
Will you join me to create a consistent habit of keeping yo fitness in throughout the busy seasons of life? #FitYoFitnessIn
