The long-term results take time, patience, and consistency. It's hard work - it's SIMPLE, but not easy - it will take time. It's not in a pill, a shake, or a wrap - it's eating
your veggies regularly, eating enough protein, and eating less processed foods. It's moving your body on the regular, and managing your sleep and stress.
Sorry, not sorry! I can't sell this, nor will I ever get rich from it, but
it's my duty to teach the better way to the women who are showing up to do it differently - to be STRONGER inside and out!
So, back to the size that I wear. A friend asked me what size I wear. I
don't know, I said. I wear many sizes. I wear what I feel good in. Size doesn't have a bearing on health or weight, to a point.
The sizes that we wear range from store to store. It doesn't even matter in the grand scheme of things. You could be the smaller size in a store and up two or 3 different sizes at another store.
The size of my jeans or what dress size I wear does not matter, because it's a just a number. It's a number that does not dictate my worth.
I spent
years dieting, losing and gaining the same weight over and over, trying to get smaller. It was miserable, and I refuse to do that again.
I got into a smaller size, and my body didn't like it. I had to fight it to stay there. So,
why do it?! No, you just don't, because it's not sustainable.
I'm at a size that I feel good in and that I can maintain. Many different sizes across many different stores. If you looked in my closet, you would see sizes ranging from 8-12, larges, and x-larges. It's just clothes, and I feel good in them. I pick clothes based on how they feel on me, not the size that it reads.
She also asked me how much I weigh, since she didn't like the answer to what size I wore. Now, I did tell her how much I weigh. Then we had a discussion on the difference between weight loss and fat loss, and I why I may look like a lighter weight, but I weigh more than she guessed. I wrote a post on this recently,
check it out here.
We went on to discuss how to approach her fitness and nutrition, and finally that she shouldn't compare herself to me or anyone else along her journey.
Her journey is her journey, and she'll fit into a size that feels good to her, what her body can maintain without extremes, no matter what the number says on the tag.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it! I wanna feel good, fit, and STRONG in my skin and that's not a size! I want to be able to hike mountains, ski, play, lift some heavy weights, live pain free, etc... - none of these things have anything to do with what I size I
wear.
This photo of Serena popped up in my newsfeed as I writing this email
and it goes so well with my beliefs and messaging. I resonate with it so much!
