Which brings me
to one of the homework questions from the DITCH THE DIET BOOTCAMP. The challenge participants were asked "If you still want to look athletic, fit person in your seventies you can, but......
{Fill in the Blank} Reply back and let me know your answer if you'd like. I always love hearing from you.
My answer to the question is below:
I don't know about you, but I want to be fit, strong, capable, able-bodied, and be able to get off the toilet when I'm older.
Be able to take care of myself, still do everyday activities that I love doing now such as walking, biking, hiking, lifting the damn things, playing with my grandkids, etc.
I was killing myself with the No Pain, No Gain workouts, Team No Days off back in the day. I was training like a maniac with LITTLE To NO food, even 2 a days for many years! I did burn out, by the way!
Disordered eating, under-eating, binging, and over exercising, under recovering anyone?! Me! You cannot continue to train this way and expect to have a good quality of life in your older years.
If I continued to train that way, I would NOT be where I am today!
Maybe you don't care how your quality of life will be when you are in your 50's, 60's, or 70's, and want to train and eat as little as possible to fit into some arbitrary number, or weigh a certain number on the scale NOW. If that’s you, then by all means, then go for it.
You will regret it, Trust and Believe!
If you want to FEEL Better,
do things that we FILL Your WHOLE Cup for Life!
So, how do you want to feel?
Thank you for reading! I hope your week is going well. Any questions or topics you like me to address, don't hesitate to reach out! I'd love
to hear your response to the questions as well!
