If you have
never been to Disney, or even if you have and haven't been during the month of Halloween, it's a great time to come. The weather isn't as hot, and the lines/wait times are much shorter.
Anywhooodle, this would have been a
time where I would have gorged myself to unpleasantry with ALL The CANDY.
Not anymore! I always reflect on these things because the memories of dieting and the depriving days do come back up from time to
time.
Also, as you know, it is my mission to help women build a healthier relationship with all foods.
With that said, in today's email, I wanted to keep it super short and share a friendly reminder about holiday treats and such! Well, lol, I’ll try to keep it short!
- If you overate, or even binged on candy yesterday - today, you just get right back on the proverbial track. Don't say eff it and start over on another day. It's like slashing the other tire - "I might as well keep going because all is ruined”. Get out of the mindset, unless that really is the mindset that you want. I'm willing to guess it's
not.
- You DO NOT need to punish yourself with exercise today to earn or burn food.
- You don't have to skip meals today to make up for yesterday!
- Let go of
the Shame and Guilt and sprinkle some Grace on it!
- You do not need to start a sugar detox today.
Now, as you move forward, start working on building a better relationship with ALL foods, not just chicken, broccoli, and brown rice.
Act like a detective – be the leader of your own body, ask yourself questions:
- Why did I overeat?
- What's the missing piece here?
- How do I want to feel
physically and mentally?
Furthermore, today, nutritionally and activity wise:
- Pick right up where you left off!
- Drink water – nothing fancy!
- Eat as you normally would. Increase your veggies if you have been lacking.
- Get your lift on as you normally would – if it’s your lift day!
- Leisure walk.
Remember this….
There are two reasons that we binge - well these are two of the main reasons:
1. We are still in the Diet Mentality.
2. We are too Deprived.
Please know this - Restricting will ALWAYS lead to a BINGE! You are not doomed nor do you have to stay stuck in the Dieting Mentality.
So, again, today, if you fell off, pick up right now or at the very next opportunity, and move forward without shame or guilt. Put some Grace on it!
Sweet friend, all is not lost!
Thank you for reading, I hope you have a great day!
