Good morning my friend. I hope all is well and that you are enjoying all the festivities!
I wanted to drop in real quick and share my super fun 12 days of Christmas workout that I put together. I wanted to provide you a quickie session with minimal equipment if you wanted to get something in real quick before the festivities and such begins.
If you are training today - if not, that's okay too! No shame or judgment. You can work out if you like, if not, no worries. Fitness should never be a chore, or used as punishment!
It's a gift, we get to! It's not about burning calories or earning our food either.
So anywhoodle, I kicked my own butt, and I rested a lot with this one. It's a Rest Based Style workout, so that means that you push until you can't with good form, and then rest until you can go again - again with proper form.
Just because it's a quicker-ish workout doesn't mean that you should have poor form.
The Workout:
* Go through the workout once for a total body workout.
* Grab a single DB for heavier lifts and a medium pair of DB's for the rest.
* Can also do it straight down from 1 -12 and repeat 3 - 5 times (depending on the time you have available)
* Should take anywhere between 20 - 35 minutes, depending on how much you rest.
1 DB Goblet Squat
2 DB Renegade Rows (Push up included - count the push-ups)
3 DB Alternating Lunges (Each Side is one) 3 Total
4 Spiderman Push-ups (Count the Push ups)
5 DB Push Press
6 Body Weight Squats
7 Jump Squats
8 DB Upright Rows Plus 8 - 1/2 DB Press
9 Body Weight Lateral Lunges
10 Glute Bridges/10 Glute Pulses
11 Up and Down Planks
12 KB Swings
