Hey, hey
Happy Friday to ya! I hope all is well.
Before we hop into today's email, I'd love to hear whatcha celebrating this week. Any wins, PR's you've hit, how you've been consistent, or some of your non-scale victories?!
Also, did you practice your push-ups this week - 10 every day? If you missed Monday's email, I invited you to do 10 Push-ups every day. Take a look that email here!
Hit that reply email and let me know.
So, anywhoodle, I thought I’d change it up for a bit and share some weekly or bi-weekly favorites that I am loving with ya.
Let's kick things off with my favorite bread, some seasonings that Jeff and I found at the grocery store, my favorite app for tracking my lifts, Power Thought Cards, and iRelieve Tens & EMS unit.
1. Rudi's Double Fiber
I love, love this bread - you've probably heard me talk about it before. It's so good. The texture is just right, and it's packed with adequate nutrition. It packs 6 grams of fiber per slice!
I use it for toast, sandwiches, french toast, etc. When we can't get it, we are literally sad about it, lol!
My STRONG friend, remember that carbs not even bread will make you fat unless you are in caloric surplus!
Check the Rudi's Double Fiber Bread and other products out here.
2. New seasonings
A couple of weeks ago, Jeff and I were browsing the seasonings and saw these Red Hot Seasoning blends. They're so good! We've tried them both on chicken and ground turkey.
We never get bored with poultry, because we get some bomb seasonings. So, if you have a hard time creating variety with your protein, girl, just get some tasty seasonings - it works like a charm!
Check your local grocery store for them. If you can't find them in your store, grab them on Amazon right here!
3. STRONG App
I love, love this app; I discovered it two years ago. I used to record my lifts in a paper notebook, which is still fine. However, the STRONG app has pretty awesome features that I like seeing, and I wouldn't want to spend the time adding up the numbers and such, ha!
So, within the Strong app, you can record your workouts, build them out, and see all past workouts right there in the app. You can also see your total poundage for the workout and your PRs.
It allows you to add exercises to the database and has its own library as well.
If you like, you can also track your macros if you want right in the app as well. It syncs to apple watches as well.
It's a great accountability tool and you can see your progression over time with your lifts and getting STRONG! You can grab it the Apple Store or Google Play for Free. They also have a Facebook group for support as well.
You'll love it! Check the app out here.
4. Power Thought Cards by Louise Hay
I love flipping one of the cards over when I first sit down to work for the day. They're positive, encouraging, and help me set the tone for the day. You can check them out here
on Amazon!
5. iReliev Tens & EMS
Please check with your doc before using one. It's advised if you have a cardiac pacemaker, implanted defibrillator, and any other implanted metallic or electronic devices that you do not use one of these.
I love this thing! I'm surprised I haven't shared this one before as one of my recovery tools. I was pretty sore from starting a training cycle, and I did the normal foam rolling, lacrosse ball work, but I still needed a little something-something, and the Tens & EMS came to the rescue.
It's a great recovery tool that I use from time to time, and it’s nice to have around!
It's a Dual Channel; TENS & EMS Electrotherapy for muscle strength and recovery. It delivers relaxing massage-like pulses.
Per the site:
TENS stands for “Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation.” It's a safe, non-invasive drug-free method of pain relief used by doctors for over 30 years. TENS works by blocking the pain signals from traveling to the brain through low voltage pulses to the skin. As a result, it produces endorphins, the body's feel-good chemical.
What is EMS?
EMS stands for “Electrical Muscle Stimulation.” It is the elicitation of muscle contraction using electrical impulses. EMS helps activate the muscles to assist in the increase of strength and endurance, and to speed up recovery.
For further information on the product, check it out here.
Again, check with your doc to make sure it's okay for you to use!
So, that's that STRONG friend. Any new things you're using or loving right now- fitness/nutrition or lifestyle stuff hit reply and let me know.
Thanks for reading. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
