How are you, my STRONG friend?! I am doing well.
Swoopin in with some Muscle Monday goodness!
I've been asked a few times lately how to split up workouts based on the days that you have available during the week.
I thought I’d share this with you, because you may be wondering as well!
So, if you have three days a week, you have a couple of options.
You can split your workout by doing Lower, Upper, and Full-Body sessions. I actually have a client on this split right now, and they are loving it.
Example of how this could look - Lower on Monday, a rest day on Tuesday - means a non-lifting day, Upper on Wednesday, rest on Thursday, and Full Body on Friday.
Or, whatever days’ work best for you, based on your schedule.
Also, you could do 3 Full Body workouts a week on non-consecutive days.
Another option is to set your training split based on what you really want to work on. For example, if you wanted to focus more on upper body, you could do upper twice and week and All-Body on the third training, or 2 lower days, and an upper-body day.
There is no wrong way to set your training schedule up. It must suit your goals and needs.
The most important thing is to be consistent!
If that's 2,3,4, or 5 days a week, do that. Do what WORKS so that you can be consistent, not perfect. Perfect actually gets us nowhere.
However, don't set yourself up for failure and say you're gonna do five days, but actually only make it 3. If you do that, that's when you feel like a failure, or feel shameful. Instead of doing that, if you can get to the gym 3x a week that's a win - that's consistency!
The best plan is the one that WORKS for YOU. One that will fit the time that you have available!
Well, my STRONG friend, that's all for now. Until next time... have a great week!
