One, you know I'm always harping on the Lifting the Damn Things. Are you lifting STRONG Friend - consistently and prioritizing it?
Lifting will give back in more ways than one. More than cardio-based exercises do alone. If you want to improve your strength, your bone density, and even your aesthetics - be one with the iron!
It's ONE of the habits I think that every woman should do, and I don't “should” folks a lot, but when it comes to strength training, EVERY WOMEN can benefit.
Building strength and muscle is a FUTURE investment. It's like investing in your 401k!
Two, the game-changing macronutrient that A LOT of women tend to skip on is Protein. We, women, tend to be quick to cut all thing things out of our diet, instead of crowding it out with essential things. And that essential thing is PROTEIN.
Try eating .7-1g of protein per lb of bodyweight and tell me how you feel. 9/10 you'll have balanced energy, no cravings, and you feel fuller much longer between meals.
Three, walking, walk it out! Walking gives back in more ways than one. We are so caught up in go hard or go home, or I must be sweating for it to be work, or for it to be cardio! This is so far from the truth. I learned this the hard way through aches and pains and high hunger, to name a few.
3 HUGE benefits to walking include:
1. Walking improves our insulin sensitivity - hello carbs! Strength Training does this too, i.e., Lifting the Things!
2. Walking reduces the stress hormone cortisol. It also aids in recovery from Lifting the Things. Take a walk after your lower body, and you'll see how much better you feel!
3. Burns calories WITHOUT increasing hunger the way moderate to high-intensity cardio tends to do.
There are many more STRONG habits that I could go into here. These 3 are a solid start and will again give back in dividends.
Are these habits a part of your lifestyle?! I'd love to hear how these habits are working for you. Reply to this email and share away!
