Hey, hey ! Happy Friday!
Let's pop right on in to today's email!
I did struggle with clothing sizes. I struggled for a good while during my yo-yo dieting days. I wouldn't buy certain sizes.
I can remember the day like it was yesterday... when I finally embraced that I couldn't fit in a pair of jeans at Aeropostale. If my memory serves me right, it was a size 6, and it was just too tight. My dang quads couldn't breathe. #ThickThighsSaveLives
I was trying to stuff myself in them jeans, feeling like a stuffed sausage just to wear a specific size.
That day forward, I started the "Work" to heal, build, and improve my relationship with my body.
I got the right size that would fit my body at that particular moment.
From that day forward, I did not save clothes for when I would be smaller/lose weight, nor did I buy too-small clothes. I bought clothes that made me feel good no matter what the arbitrary size has on the tag.
So, if you are struggling with body image, being in bigger clothes today; I want you to give yourself some Grace and to nudge you towards dressing for your body NOW so that you can feel amazing.
When you feel good and look good, you will THRIVE and show up better in life. You can do this and still work on anybody goals that you have. These things are not mutually exclusive.
While I have you here, I did a little chit chat Ted Talk on my experience while shopping the other day for a winter coat since I will be spending about a month in Michigan. IT COLD, lol!
I had to buy a larger size to fit my big ole juicy back and boulder shoulders in it. It didn't bother me one bit that I had to go up in size.
